Its the High/Low level design. Every company has its own templates for creating universes/reports.
Which ever document template you use but that should have below elements:
- Business Purpose
- Business mappings and Descriptions
- List of Classes and Objects (Make this a link to a BO report which lists down classes and objects.)
- List of users (if the universe is secured)
- Things like whether universe uses Contexts, Linked universe or List of values .
Every Minor and Major detail should be recorded if possible in the final design document.
